Terms and Conditions
The MatchDay Hub Limited
1. About Us
The MatchDay Hub Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website thematchdayhub.co.uk. These terms and conditions govern your use of our website and your booking of any tournament, event or service through us.
By registering for a tournament or otherwise using our website, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.
2. Tournament Registration and Booking
When you register a team for a tournament, you are submitting a request to enter that tournament, which is confirmed once payment has been successfully processed. Your place is not guaranteed until payment is received and a confirmation email has been sent.
You are responsible for ensuring all information provided during registration is accurate, including team details, age group, player information and contact details. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a registration where information provided is found to be inaccurate or where age group eligibility requirements are not met.
3. Pricing and Payment
All prices are displayed in GBP and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payment is taken in full at the time of registration through our secure payment provider. We do not store your full card details.
We reserve the right to change prices for future tournaments at any time. Changes will not affect bookings already confirmed.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
Our refund policy is set out in full in our separate Refunds and Returns policy. In summary, leisure activity bookings with a specific date are exempt from the standard 14-day cooling-off period under UK consumer law, and our voluntary refund policy applies based on how close to the tournament date a cancellation request is made.
If we cancel, significantly alter, or move a tournament to a different venue, you will be entitled to a full refund regardless of timing.
5. Age Groups and Eligibility
Age groups are based on the current season and apply as set out on each tournament’s registration page, if the age group is in-between seasons and the new season has not started then the season that has just played shall be used until the new season starts. It is the responsibility of the registering manager to ensure their squad meets the eligibility requirements for the age group they are entering. Players found to be ineligible for their registered age group may result in disqualification from that competition.
6. Conduct
We expect all players, managers and supporters to behave respectfully towards officials, other teams and venue staff at all times. We reserve the right to remove any individual from a venue, and to disqualify a team from a competition, in the event of serious misconduct.
7. Tournament Rules
All tournaments are subject to the rules published on our Tournament Rules page, as well as any tournament-specific rules communicated at the manager’s briefing. It is the responsibility of the team manager to attend the briefing and relay any relevant information to their players and supporters.
8. Liability
We take all reasonable care to ensure tournaments are run safely and professionally. However, participation in football and other sporting activities carries an inherent risk of injury. We do not accept liability for injury, loss or damage arising from participation in our tournaments and events, except where caused by our negligence.
Where a tournament is sanctioned by the relevant governing body, participating clubs’ existing insurance cover will remain valid for that tournament. Where a tournament is not sanctioned by a governing body, club insurance may not provide cover, and it is the responsibility of the registering club or manager to check their own insurance policy and arrange appropriate cover before attending.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of our website or attendance at our events.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos and images, is the property of The MatchDay Hub Limited unless otherwise stated, and may not be reproduced without our prior written consent.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms and conditions from time to time. Continued use of our website and services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our website will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
