Registrations close one week before the tournament date. We recommend registering as early as possible as places are limited and fill up fast.

Under UK consumer law, leisure activity bookings with a specific date — including football tournaments — are exempt from the standard 14-day online cooling-off period. However, The MatchDay Hub operates the following voluntary refund policy:
If the tournament is more than 60 days away — you are entitled to a full refund if requested within 14 days of your original booking.
If the tournament is between 30 and 60 days away — a 50% refund is available upon request.
If the tournament is less than 30 days away — we are unable to offer a refund as places cannot be reallocated at short notice.
If a tournament is cancelled, significantly altered or moved to a different venue by The MatchDay Hub, you are entitled to a full refund regardless of the above. To request a refund please contact us as soon as possible.
The maximum squad size for your age group is shown on the registration page when signing up.
All timings will be sent to you in your pre-tournament information email.
Yes — there is a mandatory manager's briefing at the registration desk at the start of the event. The time will be confirmed in your pre-tournament email. It is the manager's responsibility to attend and relay any information to their players and supporters.

Facilities vary by venue. Details of available facilities including parking, toilets and refreshments will be included in your pre-tournament information.
Tournaments will go ahead in most weather conditions. In the event of cancellation due to severe weather you will be notified as early as possible. Please check the website and your email on the morning of the event.

Yes — supporters are welcome. We ask that all supporters behave respectfully towards players, officials and other teams at all times. Poor conduct may result in removal from the venue.
Age groups are based on the current FA season. This applies even if the season has finished — players remain in their current season's age group until 1st September, when the new season begins. If you are unsure which age group applies to your players, please refer to the FA's age group guidelines or contact us directly.
The match format varies by age group and tournament, and is shown on the registration page when signing up. We offer formats ranging from 3v3 through to 11v11.
No — the offside rule does not apply unless specifically stated in the rules for that individual tournament.
Substitutions are unlimited and roll on, roll off. A substituted player may return to the pitch in the same match. The referee must be informed of all substitutions.
No — each registered player may only play for one team throughout the duration of the tournament.
The organiser will provide an appropriate quality match ball of the correct size for each age group.
All teams play each other in a group stage league format. Three points are awarded for a win and one for a draw. At the end of the group stage each team will be placed into either the Cup, Plate or Shield knockout stages, depending on the competition and number of teams in the competition.
If two or more teams finish level on points, one of the following tiebreakers will be applied: Goal Difference, Goals Scored, Goals Conceded or Head to Head. The method used will be confirmed at the manager's briefing on the day.
Knockout stages can include Quarter Finals, Semi-Finals and Finals depending on the number of teams in the competition. The team with the most goals progresses to the next stage. If scores are level at the end of normal time the match goes to penalties — the number of penalty kicks will be specified at each competition. In any Final, if scores are level, 3 minutes of extra time will be played before penalties.
Results and standings are updated throughout the day on The MatchDay Hub's competition pages, accessible via the Tournament Hub. Find your age group competition and click through to see live tables and results.
